OverviewAmadirectlink.com / Motorbyte.com
The VTX1800 proves that one-upmanship is alive and well in the bike world. The biggest V-twin in production, the VTX motor is a truly outrageous piece of Engine: ering. Its pistons measure 101mm (4in) across, larger than any other Honda piston. And while the peak power output isn’t so impressive, the VTX manages a monstrous torque figure of 1151b ft at just 3000rpm. While the low-slung dragster styling of the VTX echoes older bikes, the big Honda is packed with high-tech features. Its liquid-cooled multi-valve Engine: is fed by an advanced fuel-injection system, and uses a compact dry-sump lubrication system. The brakes use a version of Honda’s Dual-CBS linked system, and the front forks are 45mm (1.8in) upside-down items.
